🕵️ CIA DIRECTOR LANDED IN MOSCOW. UKRAINE HAD STOPPED SHOOTING.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Wednesday what Moscow denied a day earlier: CIA Director John Ratcliffe met Russian intelligence officers at Vnukovo, eight hours on the ground. Putin "is kept informed of everything without delay," Peskov said. No American official has said anything on the record.
Flight-trackers broke it, not the Kremlin — the Washington Post matched a stripped C-17 to public flight data Tuesday.
American officials asked Ukraine to hold its long-range strikes from August 24 to 26. Ukrainian forces held fire, not told Ratcliffe was aboard. The Russians gave up nothing anyone can document.
CIA officers had warned Poland and the Baltics on August 12 that Russia was weighing sabotage, or only manufacturing the fear.
Trump called the trip "very sort of semi-routine" on Glenn Beck's show Wednesday morning. The Ratcliffe-Naryshkin phone line is routine. A CIA director in Moscow is not. William Burns was the last, in November 2021. Diplomats said so publicly.
Nobody outside the room knows what Ratcliffe carried.
🗳️ JUDGE FREED TRUMP'S BALLOT RULE, BLAMED THE SUPREME COURT
Judge Indira Talwani vacated her own injunction on Wednesday, and with it the last court order stopping the Postal Service from running its new mail-ballot rule in November. She wrote that the Supreme Court compelled her, that the states hold "substantial arguments," and that she never reached the merits. Postmaster General David Steiner made his rule final on August 21. Hours after her ruling, twenty-four states, the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro sued over that final rule, in her courtroom, and asked her to stop it. She has not ruled.
🎖️ HEGSETH KILLED THE KID ROCK PROBE, FIRED A FOUR-STAR
Crews flew Apaches over Kid Rock's Tennessee home, then dropped to 625 feet over a No Kings protest in Clarksville. Gen. Christopher LaNeve told Army chief Randy George that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wanted the investigation shelved, three people told The Washington Post. Hegseth killed it, told crews "Carry on, Patriots," fired George. No chief since. Now servicemembers are the ones saying no — some of them majors and academy graduates.

Nepal Police counted 95 bodies by Wednesday evening, Kathmandu time — 33 in Chitwan, 150 kilometres down the Trishuli from the border, one in Rasuwa. Nepal's forecasters got no warning from China. After the July 2025 flood, both sides agreed in principle to share real-time information. Nepali officials raised it again in Beijing in May. Nobody has signed.

Darline Graham won South Carolina's Republican Senate nomination Tuesday in near-final returns — 32,679 fewer votes than Democrat Annie Andrews got winning hers in June. Ralph Norman conceded, defended Trump's endorsement. His own crowd booed him.

Trump wanted every one of these. He sent John Ratcliffe to Moscow and left Dmitry Peskov to explain the visit to Americans. He turned November's election into a federal matter nine weeks out, through a postmaster he installed. He fired the Pentagon's lawyers, drove out its generals, and has left the Army without a chief since. He runs the trade war himself.
