Georgia Republicans Turn on Collins Over His Nazi Hires

Four hires and a son-in-law. A tea party founder says he's covered in fleas; a conservative radio host endorsed Ossoff. And the watchdog's own report puts the intern's pay at twice what the Post reported.

Preston Parra posted a swastika on his X account in July. He rendered it out of the word "twink." In June and July he also posted "White Power," a racial slur for Black people several times, and an image of himself in Ku Klux Klan robes, which he says he generated with Grok's AI, not a photograph. The Washington Post published them Thursday morning. Rep. Mike Collins's leadership PAC had paid Parra $7,700.

Overhaul PAC cut the check in May 2025 for fundraising consulting, weeks before Collins announced his Senate run. Parra, 24, interned in the office for two months in 2024. Until Aug. 24 his X biography read "twink fascist." He calls the posts "satirical" and himself a provocateur, and says he is no white supremacist: it goes against his religion, and his father is Colombian. He told the Post: "I do think that the white race contributes more to the world."

Collins hired four of them. The fifth married into the family.

Brandon Phillips ran the office as chief of staff, and ran Trump's 2016 Georgia campaign until his 2008 trespassing plea surfaced. Collins fired him in May. Kip Talley replaced him and lasted until July, when Slate put him in a group chat with Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer. William Paul, the 2025 digital director and Sen. Rand Paul's son, hurled antisemitic insults at Rep. Mike Lawler in a bar in May. David Alan Scheer II, Collins's son-in-law, polled his followers on a video titled "why Gen-Z doesn't hate Hitler," CNN reported. Collins condemns antisemitism, his spokesman said, and calls the ethics case a "nothingburger."
