The CDC still counts zero: its page holds a blank deaths cell, and the agency quietly re-anchored the count to death certificates mid-outbreak — the 2025 Texas deaths were counted from state reports — while admitting it is still writing its definition of a measles death. America declared measles eliminated in 2000; it logged 3,134 confirmed cases by September 3. Trump's people believe lies win elections; rather than count a dead child, they changed the rules of counting. The refusal to count is the policy.

Veterans filed an emergency court request Friday afternoon to stop Trump's arch from breaking ground without final approval, NPR reported. Trump wants the arch to honor them; they answered with a lawsuit. The men and women the arch salutes are telling a judge the paperwork isn't done.
