If only he was measured, fiscally conservative with actual restructuring, willing to process the undocumented paperwork to let workers continue to pay taxes, grandfathering in parents of America born children, and deporting criminals grown under foreign lands, bringing in monitored community service for lighter crimes by undocumented who were allowed to work and raise their families in America. Canada’s official Opposition Poilievre Leader smacked of Trump during his campaign. They would have clashed terribly. Poilievre is a demagogue & likely neurodiverse, stubborn, borderline caustic, masking, thrives in being oppositional, is emotionally detached, possibly autistic (his daughter, like mine is autistic).
He would have pissed Trump off and never been able get the sociopathic malignant narc to Cooperate.
From what I've read about PP, it sounds like he's a clone of trump. He wouldn't need to converse with trump because he'd just be out there on his own with his lackeys destroying Canada like trump is destroying America. We thought we were rid of him, but he needed to be tossed in prison & the key thrown away. A long prison term may have gotten rid of him. But here we are. We don't have a parliamentary system, so we can't call elections anytime we want. If we could have, Biden may have called for an election sooner. However, DOJ is supposed to be independent from POTUS & work for the people, but authoritarians like trump (and Nixon) weaponize DOJ for their own purpose.

Mike Johnson was interviewed & he said that when the Democrats get into power in '26, the first thing they will do is impeach trump. Apparently trump has defenses planned against this, according to Johnson. He said 'when the Democrats get into power,' like it was a matter of fact. At the rate the House R members are going, I guess it's likely to happen. They all have been told by him NOT to go to their town halls!
