Vladimir Putin floated a three-way summit with Donald Trump and Xi Jinping to discuss a Ukraine deal, the Journal reported Sunday evening. Monday morning the Kremlin said the three could meet in China next month. CNBC and Politico report the table has no seat for Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky told Bloomberg on Sunday that Trump is pushing Kyiv, not Putin, to yield. "Surrender" is the Times's word for it.

Last week the White House told the Pentagon to slow Ukraine's Starshield satellite link, three officials told Reuters on Thursday. Trump went on Newsmax and called Zelensky "more difficult to deal with than Putin," and Dmitry Peskov repeated the line for him on Friday.
