Right now, The Economist's current issue does a comparative analysis of trends in political violence in the US over the last 10-20 years. Great graphics. They show that mainly right-wing believers do the killing. It's worth checking out the current issue of the good old Economist.
I agree that they intent was to blame democrats and distract the masses regarding the epstein files - they never intended to find the shooter - NEVER - look at who was looking - seriously - but - as luck would have it - he was turned in by his dad! The right wing never expected that!! The grift has gone backwards! (they needed to get rid of Kirk because he wanted the release of the files too!)
True dat! It is exhausting to live in a country run by emotional toddlers and junior high bullies. I am leaving at the end of the month and even with family here may not be back for the holidays.
On a side note: CK made a “Professor Watchlist”which caused threats & chaos to many. On that list was our beloved HCR. She talked about it on one of her recent lives.
This morning there are news reports (from the governor of Utah and a couple of other people) that Robinson was in love with a man who was transitioning to a woman and he was angry at Kirk for his hatred of trans people. I’m suspicious and don’t know what to believe. I’d be very interested to hear what you have to say about this.
I am also suspicious and unfortunately I fear we can not trust any information from the current FBI or local officials either. I am here in Utah and the rhetoric and recent terrible discriminatory laws against trans people has been terrible. As a Mormon kid from Washington, that would be the culture he swam in - southern Utah is highly Republican and reactionary, and it looked like so was his family. If he actually had a trans roommate he would IMO have been much more likely to have disdained the person. He was living at home at the time, not with a roommate according to the latest reports I have heard. As Was showed, his last messages on the bullets were from groyper culture which is virulently homo and trans phobic as I understand it. Fake news from our Gov I would surmise.

I rarely believe anything coming out of the mouths of Republicans, but since they were featured on one of the Sunday morning talk shows (which I only read about), I wondered about it. I’ve heard about Robinson’s supposed involvement with groyper culture and the “feud” with Nick Fuentes. I don’t doubt that the homo- and transphobic rhetoric is very ugly in most red states. A distant relative of mine who lives in Arkansas is a trans woman. She’s practically suicidal over the hate speech and abuse against trans people.
