Carney to Trump on 51st state taunts: "It's important to distinguish want from reality."
Prime Minister Mark Carney says that Donald Trump did not mention "51st state" in his congratulatory call to the newly elected Canadian Prime Minister.
The two leaders will meet on Tuesday at the White House in what the Prime Minister calls “a comprehensive set of meetings.” When asked how he would avoid an Oval Office ambush, Carney replied: “I go there with the expectation of difficult but constructive discussions.”
