A must listen-to...If you are craving a grounded, not yet perfect plan, but a diligently crafted blueprint for 'How do we really make the change to re-birth what we value across America?' This is thought-full. A possibility for positive restructuring, to bring back real Democracy, the American Dream, our roots in a strong Middle Class.

Zev, thanks for having Patrick on the show! There are a few ways to neuter the electoral college that don’t require a constitutional amendment, but I do agree it will be a tough go. I hate to think that the only way our country fundamentally changes is through a shared national calamity, but as that seems to be the case, things are about to get way worse before we’ll be able to reach a consensus in a post-Trump world. I’m praying the Epstein files come out soon and blow the cult to smithereens.

The ideas and the logic of it all are for me indisputable. Plaudits. Zev's text today is such an acute and perceptive summary of Patrick's thinking and of Zev's own thinking that it almost took my breath away. WHY? Zev's use of short sentences -and plain English - organized under key Subject headings - and with excellent logical pacing, not to mention a certain musicality to the pacing. This kind of written and spoken presentation is INVALUABLE when aiming to reach and convince readers and listeners. That said, Patrick, don't hate me now for saying that the FLOW of your presentation got sidetracked, repeatedly, e.g., by "four points", and then "four points", and then "two points" and then "two more points"... and so on ... and if I recall correctly, the presentation never did get to the Fourth Point mentioned at the very start! Yow. Frustrating. To my mind, that presentation did not do justice to the ideas and analysis and all the work. Nor to the set of suggestions for a Clean New Deal. Patrick, I think you need a Zev - a coach for organizing your presentations. Someone to practise them with. VISUAL AIDS could help too - and I don't mean a teleprompter. C'mon. You can do it. Don't wing it next time. Prepare.
I agree with you regarding Zev’s writing. It was magic. We can certainly prepare more framing the cadence of the points and there is a continuity but it takes some familiarity.
I forgot to mention Editing. That's "Editing". Did I mention editing? YOU know the financial tech and backstories. Yet when persuading others, you can only refer to them sparingly - b/c they get weighty and distractingly detailed. Your main job when persuading is to focus on driving the narrative forward.
