House Republicans just passed legislation stripping federal judges of their contempt power, specifically targeting cases where Trump officials are defying deportation court orders. This isn't legislative procedure—it's the systematic dismantling of judicial independence. When courts can't enforce their orders, they become suggestion boxes instead of co-equal branches of government. The bill also includes provisions to target any nonprofit as a "terrorist organization," setting up the infrastructure to destroy civil society organizations from Indivisible to disability rights groups.

A federal judge temporarily blocked Trump's unprecedented move to revoke Harvard's ability to enroll international students, affecting 7,000 students who represent over 25% of the university's population. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem demanded protest records within 72 hours while the administration has already frozen $2.2 billion in Harvard funding. This is authoritarianism 101: control the universities, control the future. Harvard fought back with a lawsuit arguing the action was taken in "direct retaliation" for refusing to surrender academic independence.

Trump's exclusive memecoin dinner revealed the financial machinery of extremism normalization. Fifty invitees held cryptocurrency assets named after swastikas, racial slurs, and anti-semitic symbols, according to CREW's investigation. These holders of hate-themed digital tokens received dinner, White House tours, and private presidential access. While Trump claims to fight antisemitism at universities, he's literally rewarding people who invest in digital representations of Nazi symbols with face time at the highest levels of government.

The FTC is now investigating Media Matters over alleged coordination with advertisers to harm Musk's X platform. This represents the weaponization of federal agencies against journalism organizations at the behest of a billionaire who bought himself a White House seat with $280 million. Every investigation into Musk's companies—SpaceX, Tesla, Starlink, X—has been shut down not just by closing cases, but by eliminating entire departments and firing the investigators.

Trump's diplomatic incompetence reached new lows during his meeting with South African President Ramaphosa, where he displayed images claiming to show "white farmers being buried" in South Africa. The photos were actually from Reuters footage of an M23 rebel attack in the Democratic Republic of Congo—completely different country, completely different situation. This wasn't ignorance; it was deliberate disinformation designed to feed white nationalist narratives while conducting foreign policy through lies and conspiracy theories.

From neutering judicial power to controlling universities, hosting dinners for Nazi token holders, weaponizing federal agencies, and spreading racist disinformation in diplomatic meetings—Day 123 shows authoritarianism advancing on every front simultaneously. The infrastructure of democratic destruction is being built in broad daylight, one legislative vote and executive order at a time.
