I'd have to say, the fact that so many more Americans are aware of how 'fragile' our elections are is hopeful. We're paying more attention to at least their past tricks. Hopefully enough of us can call 'foul!', figure out a work-around that will do more to safeguard our Democracy from Russia's ever-ready 'sow chaos' measures.

What feels incomprehensible is why hasn’t another country, that needs the support of a democratic version of the United States, hacked and released the unredacted Epstein files.
Russia doesn't have to work very hard now that they have Trump weakening our country in every way he can. I believe he is just a Russian asset doing the most damage that he can in the time he has. Can you tell us anything Trump has done to improve the lives of Americans or improve our image in the world?
Sean , ex-CIA, does not want to differentiate between parties in domestic politics, but Zev, journalist, does. I am left with this question:
Does Sean's position come purely from having taken an oath to serve the country not any political party, hence he looks outward to enemies abroad OR
Does he know more than Zev or any of us about real evils inside the Democrats which actually make them just as bad as Trump?
Also, we all know about the evils the CIA itself has committed, especially in subverting young democracies in South America. It cannot claim to be free of rightwing political bias.
And we all know that Trump has been a Russian asset since 1987, an object of interest to the KGB even earlier since the 1970s, and the Kremlin has had full access to everything going on in American intelligence, ever since that extraordinary publicly leaked Signals chat. We know that Trump's family and close associates such as Witkoff are also Russian assets. Finally, we know that Trump is utterly corrupt, to an extent that seems far worse than Democrat leaders.
That said, this was an excellent, most informative presentation for the information, analysis and context it does give us, as long as the above reservations are kept in mind.
Finally, what is forgotten is that the greatest crimes against humanity are currently being perpetrated against women, who are not a minority group, but the majority of the human race. The subhuman bestial evil of the US withdrawal from Aghanistan was instigated by Trump. The Democrats then went along with it. Those are not equal evils.
I did take an oath to the constitution, not any party…I served for 28 years and was prohibited as a CIA officer from engaging in Politics in any way—that is the way we should be, and the way Americans should want it. And I respect and hold to those values now…thank you! As to the “evils” you talk about, I was proud to have served and those I served with keeping our country safe.
