The women's courage was phenomenal. That they have persisted in the demand for justice in the face of the awful responses (trump using the word hoax) and other equally callow blathering--in which I would include Pelosi's and the apparent lack of interest from democrats, with the exception of Ro Khanna, really spoke to me as a woman, of their extraordinary courage. I don't know that their families were terrible, maybe some were, but they weren't from powerful families, and rape is so much a question of the abuse of power. Trump's term about the "theft" by Epstein of human beings from Mar a Lago, followed the old trope from slavery. Human beings as property.

I couldn’t agree with you more, and I was appalled by Trump’s insistence on calling it a “Democrat hoax” and saying it’s “irrelevant” to all the great work his administration has done since he took office.
