A month ago, Ghislaine Maxwell was expected to emerge from hiding in order to cooperate with prosecutors in the Jeffrey Epstein case. Why has that changed?
Ghislaine Maxwell was last spotted at a Buckingham Palace event in November last year. She also reportedly met privately with Prince Andrew days before his awful-but-frank BBC interview. It was all an attempt to ‘normalize’ Ghislaine’s public image ahead of her anticipated cooperation with prosecutors from the SDNY investigating the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, in which she is likely to be named a co-conspirator.
This week, new signals emerged from Maxwell’s camp indicating a shift in strategy. Maxwell’s going to ride things out, Rupert Murdoch’s Sun newspaper reported. She’s confident the dirt she has on America’s politicians is enough to secure her a permanent get-out-of-jail-free-card, Laura Goldman, Ghislaine’s friend, told the paper.
