Two children are dead in Minneapolis. Before families had finished identifying their children, before the blood had dried, the machinery of persecution was already in motion.

Within hours, the coordinated response emerged. Matt Walsh proclaimed trans people were becoming "MORE dangerous." Marjorie Taylor Greene demanded felonies for anyone providing gender-affirming care. Laura Loomer linked trans identity to Islamic terrorism. Valentina Gomez called for transgender Americans to be reclassified as a "terrorist organization." Bo Loudon—described as Barron Trump's best friend—rushed to implicate the entire trans community for one person's actions.

The speed reveals the preparation. This wasn't a response; it was an activation.

The Architecture Was Already Built

Trump won his second term partially by demonizing trans kids. In 2024 alone, state legislatures passed over 500 anti-LGBTQ bills. The registries were planned. The bathroom bills were passed. The medical care was banned. All before Minneapolis.

MAGA wasn't born from economic anxiety. It was born from a Russian-American alliance around "defending traditional marriage." The same playbook Putin used to consolidate power—position LGBTQ people as threats to children and civilization—became the cornerstone of American authoritarianism.

Research reveals why: anti-LGBTQ sentiment is the most reliable way to keep a base in perpetual fear. When people are afraid for their children, afraid of their own desires, they'll accept any authority that promises protection.

The Pattern of Deliberate Disinformation

MAGA runs with a fabricated list: "Nashville, Aberdeen, Denver, Iowa, Lakewood" - claiming six trans shooters. The truth?

Uvalde - Paul Gosar claimed Salvador Ramos was "a transsexual leftist illegal alien," spreading photos of random trans women. Completely fabricated.

Lakewood Church - Police explicitly stated Genesse Moreno was NOT transgender. Fox News spread the lie anyway.

Iowa/Perry - No confirmation about Dylan Butler's gender identity. Right-wing accounts claimed "gender fluid" based on speculation.

Aberdeen - A Rite Aid workplace shooting they count as a "school shooting" to inflate numbers.

The actual confirmed trans shooters in schools over 5 years: Nashville, Denver/STEM, and Minneapolis. That's 3 out of 173+ school shootings—1.7%. But they claim an "epidemic," mixing workplace shootings, church shootings, spreading lies about non-trans shooters.

Every mass shooting becomes an opportunity to check if they can pin it on a trans person. If not, they'll lie. The goal is creating the impression of a pattern that doesn't exist.

The Minneapolis Contradictions

Robin Westman's manifesto should raise questions:

  • A manifesto partially written in Russian—in Minneapolis, by someone with no known Russian connections

  • Sources note that sections written in Russian used the Cyrillic alphabet, often expressing violent fantasies and references to infamous mass shooters, while English sections included diary-style logs and statements about motivation and planning

  • Robin writes about “my mission” and “being corrupted by this world”

  • Writing about voting Republican while scrawling "Kill Trump" on weapons

  • Claiming trans identity while targeting "LGBTQ+ individuals" as enemies

  • A 2020 name change initiated by the mother during peak COVID isolation

  • No evidence of LGBTQ community connections, no photos with trans friends

  • Manifesto language mentioning Exxon and Blackrock sounds like a checklist, not personal story

The Russian text is particularly revealing given MAGA's origins in a Russian-American alliance and documented Russian psychological warfare operations to destabilize America.

The manifesto's line "I am not a woman but I definitely don't feel like a man" sounds like someone performing gender confusion for an audience, not someone with five years' lived trans experience.

Consider Anderson Lee Aldrich, who attacked Club Q then claimed to be non-binary only after arrest—despite running a neo-Nazi website and using homophobic slurs. The claim served to muddy waters and create confusion.

Manufacturing the Monster

For years, far-right spaces have seeded the idea of a "trans liberation army." It's the same playbook Bannon pioneered: identify vulnerable individuals, particularly those isolated or on the spectrum, militarize them through online channels, and create the monster you need.
