The Shutdown That Stops the Epstein Files

Thomas Massie has 218 signatures. Mike Johnson has a government shutdown. Donald Trump has an explosive problem - of course he’d shut down the government to save himself. This is the FiveStack.

BREAKING NEWS: ICE SHOOTING

The FBI just briefed the nation on the Dallas ICE facility shooting, claiming anti-ICE messages on munitions prove targeted violence against federal agents. But Ken Klippenstein’s reporting tells a different story: Joshua Yahr never voted, never mentioned ICE to friends, and was kicked out of Groyper groups for being too unhinged even for 4chan. The ambiguity is the point—Trump’s regime needs every shooting to be about evil leftists attacking law enforcement, not radicalized young men from their own extremist ecosystem.

Now watch how this manufactured crisis provides cover for what’s really happening in Washington this week.

5️⃣ HEGSETH’S MILITARY MYSTERY

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth summoned all 800 U.S. generals and admirals to an unprecedented emergency meeting at Quantico next week with zero explanation, pulling commanders from active conflict zones. Pentagon sources speculate everything from mass firings to loyalty oaths, with one source half-jokingly calling it preparation for a “coup d’état.” The timing aligns perfectly with the government shutdown—creating a power vacuum in hotspots worldwide while potentially purging military leadership that won’t pledge loyalty to Trump over Constitution.

4️⃣ SARKOZY’S REALITY CHECK

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiring to finance his 2007 campaign with Muammar Gaddafi’s money—and unlike Trump’s convictions, he’s actually going to jail regardless of appeal. The Paris court found evidence of a “Faustian corruption pact” for campaign funds in exchange for economic deals and diplomatic recognition. While America lets a 34-time convicted felon run the country from the White House, France demonstrates what happens in functioning democracies when presidents commit crimes.

3️⃣ THE SOROS TERROR FRAME-UP

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s office directed prosecutors in six major U.S. attorney’s offices to draft criminal investigation plans against George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, suggesting charges ranging from arson to material support for terrorism. The directive cites a conservative watchdog report claiming the foundation “poured over $80 million into groups tied to terrorism.” This marks the first time the Justice Department has openly followed presidential orders to investigate specific political opponents. Trump called Soros “a bad guy who should be put in jail” after the Charlie Kirk assassination—now he’s manufacturing the evidence.

2️⃣ COMEY IN THE CROSSHAIRS

Federal prosecutors presented their case against James Comey to a Virginia grand jury today, marking the first time in American history an FBI director faces criminal charges for congressional testimony—despite career prosecutors warning there’s insufficient evidence. Trump installed his own White House aide with zero prosecutorial experience as interim U.S. attorney after the previous one refused to prosecute. The president who admitted on TV he fired Comey over “this Russia thing” now seeks to prosecute him for testifying about it. Trump’s weekend Truth Social post demanding Attorney General Pam Bondi move faster—accidentally posted publicly instead of as an email—provides all the evidence of political persecution any defense would need.

1️⃣ THE EPSTEIN ENDGAME

Rep. Thomas Massie confirmed the magic number: 218 signatures to force a House vote on releasing all federal Jeffrey Epstein files. Arizona’s Adelita Grijalva provides the decisive signature when she’s sworn in next week—unless Speaker Johnson uses the government shutdown to kill the discharge petition process entirely. Trump has escalated from calling the investigation “irrelevant” to labeling it a “hoax” while threatening to primary the three Republican women who dared to sign. Massie stated bluntly: “They’re trying to use a government shutdown to kill this vote—it’s that simple.” The shutdown deadline perfectly aligns with when the petition would force action, while the DOJ releases heavily redacted documents to create the illusion of transparency.

The blueprint is clear: manufacture a leftist terror threat from a Groyper shooting, purge the military, prosecute political enemies, frame philanthropists as terrorists, and shut down the government—all to stop those Epstein files from seeing daylight. Trump knows what’s in them. The question is whether American democracy survives the blast radius when they finally detonate.
