BREAKING NEWS: As US-China trade negotiations commence in Switzerland this weekend, Trump's administration is already signaling weakness that undermines America's leverage. Swiss Economy Minister Guy Parmelin's statement about a "possible mutual suspension of customs duties" reveals what may be happening behind the scenes - a potential American capitulation before substantive talks have even begun.
"We could imagine everything – we could imagine a mutual suspension of customs duties during the course of the discussions. That's up to the parties," Guy Parmelin told reporters, describing one hypothetical outcome of the talks.
