Trump Tells UN "Your Countries Are Going to Hell" as Dollar Crashes and Russian Drones Probe NATO

The FiveStack | Sept 23

5️⃣ Mystery Drones Shut Down Copenhagen

Copenhagen Airport was paralyzed for four hours Monday night after sophisticated drones performed advanced maneuvers over Denmark’s largest airport. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called it “the most severe assault on Danish critical infrastructure to date.” The drones, operated by what authorities described as a highly skilled pilot, hovered near passengers, aircraft, and fuel storage before vanishing without a trace. Oslo Airport experienced an identical incursion the same evening. While no direct evidence links Russia to the incidents, Western officials say the sophistication and timing fit established Russian hybrid warfare patterns designed to provoke NATO members. Denmark isn’t mincing words—they’re 95% sure Russia is behind it, marking a dangerous escalation in Baltic tensions.

4️⃣ Trump’s NATO Gambit

When reporters asked Trump point-blank whether NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft entering their airspace, he responded with an unequivocal “Yes, I do.” The president then immediately hedged, saying NATO support would “depend on circumstances” while praising the alliance’s weapons purchases from the US. This marks Trump’s most aggressive rhetoric yet regarding Russian incursions, coming just one day after the drone attacks on Copenhagen and Oslo. But given Trump’s track record of pulling back military support for Ukraine while claiming to help, his words ring hollow. He’s promised Patriot missiles, then demanded payment, then cancelled them entirely. The pattern is clear: performative strength masking actual retreat.

3️⃣ Dollar in Freefall

The US dollar crashed to its lowest level in three years, with the DXY index hitting 97.3—marking the steepest year-to-date drop since America abandoned the gold standard in 1973. The greenback has plummeted 11% this year alone, a historic collapse that reflects deeper concerns about US fiscal policy and persistent deficits. Major banks predict another 4% decline by 2026. While Trump claims at the UN that America has “defeated inflation” and taken in “$17 trillion” (impossible given the US GDP is $34 trillion), the reality is stark: inflation is up, mortgage rates are climbing toward 8%, and Trump’s approval rating on the economy has crashed to 35%. The self-proclaimed “hottest economy” is actually experiencing its worst currency crisis in half a century.

2️⃣ Shutdown Theater

Trump abruptly canceled his meeting with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, calling their demands “unserious and ridiculous” as Congress faces a September 30 deadline to avoid a government shutdown. Democrats are demanding restoration of Medicaid coverage for millions of Americans, extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies, and restoration of public media funding. Trump’s 3:42 AM Truth Social rant blamed Democrats for wanting “forced transgender surgery for minors” and to “allow men to play in women’s sports”—his go-to culture war deflections when avoiding actual governance. The real story: Trump wants this shutdown. It gives him unchecked power while Congress is paralyzed, no oversight on Epstein investigations, and cover to potentially launch military action against Venezuela.

1️⃣ Diplomatic Disaster at the UN

In a jaw-dropping 56-minute tirade, Trump told assembled world leaders their countries are “going to hell,” called climate change a “con job,” and declared “immigration and suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe.” The speech was packed with demonstrable lies—claiming London’s mayor wants “sharia law,” that inflation has been “defeated” (the Fed reported it increased six days ago), and that America took in “$17 trillion” this week. He even complained about a malfunctioning UN escalator that nearly caused Melania to fall. World leaders gave him “polite applause” when he finally exited—diplomatic speak for “get this guy out of here.” The contrast with Canada’s Mark Carney, who received a standing ovation for recognizing Palestinian statehood and calling out the global rupture Trump has caused, couldn’t be starker.

The pattern is undeniable: Trump enriches himself through crypto schemes (now worth $10 billion according to recent analysis) while the dollar collapses, provokes international incidents while actual threats like Russian drones go unchallenged, and performs theatrical strength while America’s standing crumbles. The government shutdown looms not as crisis but as opportunity—for a president who governs best when no one can stop him.
