Trump's Ultimatum To Ukraine: Surrender Now
Of all the bad, not great, terrible things Donald Trump has done, forsaking our allies during war is the most reprehensible.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio abruptly withdrew from Ukraine peace negotiations in London even before they started after President Zelensky rejected the Trump Regime's ultimatum to surrender Crimea to Russia.
The proposal would legitimize Putin's 2014 illegal land grab, rewarding Russia for its genocidal invasion and stripping Ukraine of nearly 20% of its territory. It also flies in the face of accepted international law and Ukraine's constitution. Zelensky later admitted things got "heated."
In a pointed rebuke, Zelensky cited a statement from former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo—from Trump's previous administration—which reaffirms the international norms forbidding countries from annexing others.
Trump responded with his now-signature obsequious snideness toward Zelensky's measured approach. It was what everyone suspected: a shakedown of our ally, with the U.S. President doing Vladimir Putin's bidding.
