NIk I just saw the tears in your eyes! Me too. Watching Baez sing I Ain't Going Let No one turn me around! I expected to see Lightfoot, Judy Collins, Bobby Dylan, Seeger and the Weavers and the one and only Phil Ochs walk on stage....
All of the music. Just incredible. I saw it live via zoom for disabled protesters. I wept then and again now. Joan Baez. Bruce Springsteen. The others whose names I am unfamiliar with but whose songs were so moving Wow.
The Brass Solidarity Band did one of the songs and they were fantastic! They are based in Minneapolis and were born in the wake of the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020. They did an incredible “after party” here in Minneapolis a few weeks back at an Abolish ICE event and @nickparo live-streamed it. It was epic! 🎤🎶🎺
Thank you for the shout out to St. Paul, Minnesota! I was there today and it was incredibly moving. An update for you…as of this evening the crowd estimate for St. Paul is 200,000. And a correction for you…Peggy Flanagan is our Lieutenant Governor. She is fantastic. She’s the real deal 👏
You did it again!!! This was truly extraordinary. Your choice of what to highlight was perfect, as far as was possible in a live situation. Thankyou millions!
And to Nick Paro: I acknowledge your vital role in conveying the true scope of these protests beyond Minneapolis outward to the whole world. Thankyou for your service to us all, and to us women in particular.
I am of a generation that prefers men to be clean-cut and upfront. I don't like beards. Okay, my prejudice. But what is the significance of your beards? What are you hiding? Why do you not choose to shave? This is a serious question ... awaiting your answer ... Thankyou ...
Penelope - no offense taken, beards aren’t for everyone! I love mine though - I’ve almost always had a beard, since I was able to grow one in high school - and the only time I’ve only ever really shaved was when I was in the Army.
I actually have a pretty noticeable scar on my chin from an accident in college and I like to keep that covered - I also look sooooo young without it, it’s weird to me 😂.
The most important reason though - my wife loves my beard!
Thanks Zev and Nick, that was the best!

Ah, Phil Ochs
Port Townsend, WA turnout today.
I’m so proud to be a Minnesotan
Thank you Zev and Nick. We know America can do better than a third rate dementia addled dictator!

Klarity - Brass Solidarity is so amazing. I’m so fortunate to have been able to see them in-person and up-close.

Thank you so much for featuring this. I really enjoyed your commentary, and the Joan Baez part was simply the very best. I’m crying too.
Hi, Reports were 200,000 in St. Paul.
I love that you were here today, Joan! My mentor! And that was all beautiful of all of you there! ❤️🌹💯‼️
Thanks so much. An awesome day way to end the day!

Okay, you passed my test ... Thankyou for taking the time to reply.
If your wife likes it, what more can I say ... ? 🍒🤓❤️
The togetherness is exactly what we need to have to oppose and resist this radicalized regime and transform our country.
