✈️ FLYDUBAI HIJACK
Benjamin Netanyahu says one flydubai pilot stabbed the other this morning and "it appears" he tried to crash the plane with about 170 people aboard, almost all Israeli. Flight FZ1073, Dubai to Tel Aviv, dropped more than 14,000 feet in under two minutes, Flightradar24 data show, and someone in the cockpit keyed the emergency code, then the hijack code. Nobody knows who. Passengers broke into the cockpit and off-duty pilots landed the jet at Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Netanyahu says the Saudis arrested the attacker; Riyadh has said nothing. flydubai calls it "an altercation" and says the motive is unknown. Netanyahu's office first said it was not a hijacking, then said it was investigating. An unnamed Israeli official gave Reuters the attacker's nationality; no authority has named him, said which pilot attacked which, or said why. 🇬🇧 FAIRFORD IRAN
Andy Burnham told the BBC there are "strong indications that Iran played a part" at RAF Fairford, the American bomber base. He gave no evidence. Marco Rubio got there Monday night — "the hands of a foreign actor" — naming Iran only as an example. Police found no explosive devices in the vans, only petrol, and bailed all five men Monday. Narativ reported Monday that a farmer's 999 call, not American surveillance, put police on those vans. Iran's embassy calls it "malicious speculations." Ken Paxton told donors, on a leaked tape, that Trump's Dallas convention "dropped our numbers. Everybody's numbers dropped." The public polls show no real drop: Emerson had Paxton up one before the September 9–10 convention and James Talarico up one after, inside the margin of error. Brendan Carr, whose FCC licenses the stations running Trump's taxpayer-paid ads, sees "nothing in there that strikes me to merit any sort of FCC review."
