$178 million in one quarter, a Starlink throttle on Kyiv, Russian deepfakes in the feed, and the questions from 2024 nobody answered.

Elon Musk gave Republicans $178 million in three months. The filings landed Thursday, the week his satellites slowed Ukraine's front.

Musk gave the Senate Leadership Fund $158 million of the record $272.9 million it raised in the third quarter, $75 million on Sept. 9 and $83 million on Sept. 23, and put $20 million into the House Republicans' super PAC, the funds told the Federal Election Commission. In all of 2025 he gave the Senate fund $10 million. He is now the biggest known donor to the midterms.

On Tuesday night the Starlink terminals Ukraine's army fights on slowed down, and missions failed. Musk said the limits were "decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS." Every hour that throttle stays on is dead soldiers, and the freedom of Eastern Europe traded for Russian diesel. By Thursday senators from both parties had asked the Pentagon's inspector general to find out who gave the order.

No document joins the money to the throttle. The money went in September; the throttle came in October. What the money does buy is the Congress that would ask.

The ads are already running. Campaigns and outside groups have spent more than $80 million on at least 164 AI-made ads this cycle, and Republicans are behind 80% of them. Bloomberg reported Wednesday that a Russia-linked network researchers call Matryoshka has pushed fabricated videos at American voters since early September, fake CNN clips aimed at Democrats. Moscow is showing its hand in the midterm, on camera.

Also Thursday, Musk and his America PAC told the federal court in Austin they had settled two class actions over his $1 million-a-day petition lottery in 2024's swing states. The filing left the terms out. The voter data he harvested stays his.

The last time Elon Musk bought an election, we found the FCC had given his satellites emergency access to America's cell networks over the vote.
