Donald Trump told a Kansas crowd on Monday that France burning is what Democrats want to do to America. On Tuesday he told Greenville what he will do about it.
Half a million people marched in France on Saturday, the rioting ran into Sunday, and police made more than 2,400 arrests. Trump posted "France is burning!" on Truth Social on Sunday. France ordered curfews on Monday. In Kansas on Monday he said: "When you see burning steeples and raging fires in France, just remember that is what the radical Dumocrats want to do to America." In Greenville, N.C., on Tuesday he promised it was "never going to go on over here." A heckler interrupted him. "You watched nut jobs like him in France, ruining their country," Trump said. "I hope you won't get angry if I treat them very, very rough, because that's what's going to happen." He meant the protesters. Still, it was the first night he said what he would do.
