Know anything about the merger between Trump Media and TAE Technologies, a company trying to harness nuclear fusion for energy? Someone posted a link on defiance.news today to an "X" post that asserts TAE Technologies is backed by Russia. I can't verify if that is true. Since you know far more about links to Russia than I do, I thought I'd ask.
This merger is announced in many places today when I search for it, including AP and Politico. Previous investors for TAE Technologies include Chevron (strong Trump supporter, I believe), Google, Goldman Sachs, New Enterprise Associates, Vulcan Capital and Venrock.
I looked a little more at Venrock just because I hadn't heard of it before. Wikipedia says Venrock "is an American venture capital firm formed in 1969 to build upon the successful investing activities of the Rockefeller family that began in the late 1930s."
Among Venrock's numerous investments is a Russian company called Rarible, "a Moscow, Russia-based NFT marketplace startup," which they invested in in 2021:
That is the only Russian link I have found, but I haven't dug deeply. Rarible is not just a marketplace, but also takes crypto payments. This investments predates the 2022 Russian invasion into Ukraine.
