It was this post that finally cracked open why the continued reflection and finally some understanding of impermanence is so important. Not to relieve fear, jealousy or all those other creeping up human tendencies, but to understand what a completely futile preoccupation with over abundance of wealth is. What a human life energy waster it is. Put aside the cruelty to the society one lives in, preoccupation with personal wealth takes up the time and energy for growth. There is the real danger one dies having lived as an already dead human being. It’s not sad or tragic but rather it is willingly jumping into the black hole of the entire human purpose for being born. Going forward, one’s existence is black social karma. No one is outside the exchange of light and matter. Having morality is just how we express making the choice for purpose of life. Say what you will about President Carter’s lack of charisma but if heaven is peace, I’ll chose where he’s watching us from now.
