Like many Americans, I’ve been feeling beaten down since DJT was voted in for a second term, but lately, I feel determined to not let him and his awful accomplices steal our country from those of us who want nothing to do with his disgusting actions and policies. We are sad and we are hurting and we want to be back in good standing with our allies, and I believe that if we stay mad and keep fighting, we will win. I know that sometimes it can look from the outside that Americans are not fighting the Regime hard enough, however, I think the thing that our allies don’t understand is that because the U.S. is so big physically and population-wise, our fighting back looks different than it might look in some other countries. It’s just not possible for all of us to show up outside the Capitol building and the White House to protest the regime, so what we are doing, is each individual and each town, each county and each state are fighting back in our own ways on a local level. The attorneys who are fighting for good and for justice are working tirelessly and are winning over and over again in the courts. Communities are rising up and saying no to ICE warehouses and to AI data centers and are working to make sure our neighbors are being defended and that those around us are getting the right information. Also, I don’t feel the need to be the “best”, most powerful country in the world. I believe that is an arrogant and destructive goal, however, I do want to be a great country in the sense that we would care for our neighbors as well as our fellow humans around the world. I too love and appreciate Dean, and while I agree (and hope!) that America will never again be what it was up until now (filled with greed and white supremacy), I also believe that we can become a good force in the world.
