The Greatest Heist Returns With Three New Chapters And a Dedicated Website

Why I stopped in May, and why I'm bringing all three books back now.

You can read the Greatest Heist as premium subscriber to Narativ. Subscribe below.

On May 23, I published Zorro Ranch, the second chapter of Book Three. Then I stopped.

People have asked me why ever since. Here’s the answer.

The penny dropped. I had been reading the new documents behind The Greatest Heist: court filings, bank records, FBI files, and an archive of more than 1.4 Million records. Somewhere in Book Three, I realized I wasn’t writing history. Every week, the news repeated something I had just found in the files.

So I took it into the daily reporting: The Narativ, FiveStack and Narativ Live. When New Mexico issued the first subpoenas in its Zorro Ranch investigation in June, you got the history with it. When Jes Staley answered Congress’s questions about Epstein in July, off oath, you already knew why it mattered.

The book didn’t stop. It mer6ged with the news.

Now it’s coming back with a dedicated website and an easier way for readers to follow along like a book. And the first off three new chapters will be published beginning next week.

  • The Trial. The 2009 Bear Stearns trial, and the investor named in the prosecutors’ own filing whom nobody followed.

  • The Eleven. Who owned the Bermuda company Jeffrey Epstein chaired, and who got paid in full after Bear Stearns died.

  • Winners and Losers. Who walked out of 2008 richer, and who paid for it.

Before they land, I’ve put all three books in one place: thegreatestheist.com. Start at Chapter One. The first chapter of each book is free. The rest requires a Narativ subscription.

The ending is still playing out.

Unless we stop it.
