👀 THE FRONT PAGE
💸 PRICE LIST
Ric Grenell allegedly offered a Turkish businessman access to the president for a Kennedy Center donation, and the White House counsel is checking whether the text is his. Grenell calls it lies. The text is dated May 3, 2025: "Once the money comes to the company here, I will arrange the donation to Kennedy Centre, and you'll be joining the VIP events and get close with the administration, even with POTUS." Axios reviewed it. Grenell ran the Kennedy Center then. He denies sending it, and one piece of his defense, Axios's sources say, is the British spelling of "Centre." Turkish businessman Turhan Mildon received it. He is married to Alina Habba, Trump's former lawyer, who walked into the Oval Office on Oct. 9 and said, "Ric stole the money!" Mildon says he wired $17.6 million at Grenell's direction to a Houston defense company, Texas Armament & Technology.
🇷🇺 PUTIN'S TABLE
Vladimir Putin floated a three-way summit with Donald Trump and Xi Jinping to discuss a Ukraine deal, the Journal reported Sunday evening. Monday morning the Kremlin said the three could meet in China next month. CNBC and Politico report the table has no seat for Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky told Bloomberg on Sunday that Trump is pushing Kyiv, not Putin, to yield. "Surrender" is the Times's word for it. Last week the White House told the Pentagon to slow Ukraine's Starshield satellite link, three officials told Reuters on Thursday.
📺 AMANPOUR OUT
Christiane Amanpour is leaving CNN after 43 years. She announced it less than two weeks after David Ellison took the network, and the same morning Semafor's report had Ellison's editor at CBS hunting for a Muslim Brotherhood link to a Senate candidate. Amanpour is CNN's Bari Weiss story, told from the other end. At CBS the owner's editor walked in. At CNN the anchor walked out.
📉 TWO IN THREE
Nearly two in three Americans say Donald Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself. A third of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents agree. That is the number inside the Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll released Sunday, fielded Oct. 9–13. The headlines ran the other one: Trump sits at 33% approval, 66% disapprove, a low.
🛢️ RIYADH BLINKS
Trump waived the new Russia sanctions on Friday, two days before they took effect. On Monday, Tehran said the price is the point. An Arab diplomat put it more plainly: "They think they can bring down a presidency."
🧭 THE BIGGER PICTURE
Everything Trump's circle touches this morning has a price tag: a seat beside him, an Albanian coastline, a newsroom, a sanctions waiver. The voters priced it too: two in three say he is in it for himself. (desk draft, marked for Zev)

RE: Golf course destruction when judge said stop. We’ve seen this play before. Trump will do what he wants- tore down the entire East Wing like what, over night. He ignores every process, review, permit and does what he wants. Here we go again. He’ll keep doing this shit because he has been allowed to give all of us his middle finger. Station Security and Police at the site of his current destruction. If Trump is there handcuff him and hold him there. DO SOMETHING!
So when there is so much concrete evidence the Trump is self dealing by using his office and policies as leverage for cash...?
